Sensor probe: A versatile addition to the Sensor Hub

The Sensor Probe is an accessory that connects to the Sensor Hub to extend its capabilities. It can accommodate up to 2 pre-configured WisBlock sensors in different combinations, allowing you to collect the environmental data you need.

Simplified measurement of key parameters: Thanks to pre-selected sensor combinations, you can easily measure the most common environmental parameters, such as temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure.

Robust, versatile design: The sensor probe is waterproof and weatherproof (IP67), making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Extended connectivity: connect multiple sensor probes to a single Sensor Hub port using a splitter cable. You can also extend the distance between hub and sensor with an extension cable.

Important note: The sensor probe does not work on its own. It requires the Sensor Hub RAK2560.

Two versions of the Sensor Hub are available:

• LoRaWAN only: Ideal for applications requiring long-distance connectivity with low power consumption.
• LoRaWAN+NB-IoT: Offers cellular connectivity in addition to LoRaWAN, enabling broader support and higher data rates (depending on the category selected - CAT M1 or CAT NB2). CAT M1 is suitable for applications requiring faster data transmission, while CAT NB2 is ideal for battery-powered devices requiring long-term connectivity due to its ultra-low power consumption.

Compatible sensors:

The sensor probe supports a variety of pre-configured WisBlock sensors, allowing you to choose the combination that meets your specific needs. Here are a few examples:

• Temperature and humidity (TH): Precise measurement of air temperature and humidity.
• Atmospheric pressure (PR): Monitoring changes in atmospheric pressure.
• 3-axis acceleration (3X): Motion and vibration detection.

By combining different sensor probes, you can create a customized solution for monitoring a wide range of environmental parameters.
