Programming and protocol :

  • Programming using PacControl software.
  • Computer programming and debugging.
  • 32MB RAM and can run up to 32 tasks at a time.
  • User interface programming using PacDisplay.
  • Protocols supported: TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Modbus/TCP, SNMP and OptoMMP.

I/O processing :

  • Independent controller for connection to all station heads (SNAP-PAC-R and SNAP-PAC-BRAIN).
  • Management of analog, digital and serial modules, as well as special modules (Wiegand, energy meters, etc.).

Modules

SNAP-AIMA-32

The SNAP-AIMA-32 provides 32 analog input channels from -20 mA to +20 mA. Although the 32 channels are not isolated from each other, the module is transformer isolated and optically isolated from other modules and devices.

As part of the SNAP PAC system, the module mounts on a SNAP PAC rack with a SNAP PAC-BRAIN or a rack-mounted R series controller. Analog, digital and serial I/O modules can all be located on the same rack. Such an I/O unit is also well suited to PC-based control or the use of remote intelligent I/O for an Allen-Bradley RSLogix system, such as ControlLogix, MicroLogix or CompactLogix.

CAUTION: We strongly recommend that you use the SNAP-AIMA-HDB rack and SNAP-HD-BF6 wiring harness with this module. Incorrect wiring at any point on the module can cause serious damage; this rack protects the module from many wiring errors.

Compatibility: This module can only be used with PAC-BRAIN SNAP brains and R series controllers. See SNAP-AIMA for a two-channel module that can also be used with SNAP Ethernet and serial brains.

This product is available with 2, 4, 8 and 32 channels.

SNAP-PAC-S1

The SNAP-AIV-32 analog input module provides 32 channels of analog voltage input. Each channel can be configured for -10 to +10 VDC or -5 to +5 VDC operation. Although the 32 channels are not isolated from each other, the module is transformer isolated and optically isolated from other modules and devices.

As part of the SNAP PAC system, the module is mounted on a SNAP PAC rack with a SNAP PAC-BRAIN or rack-mounted controller. Analog, digital and serial I/O modules can all be located on the same rack. Such an I/O unit is also well suited to PC-based control or the use of intelligent remote I/O for an Allen-Bradley RSLogix system, such as ControlLogix, MicroLogix or CompactLogix.

Compatibility: This module can only be used with SNAP PAC-BRAIN and rack-mounted controllers (SNAP-PAC-R or SNAP-PAC-S).

For field wiring, use the SNAP-HD-CBF6 wiring harness with flying leads or the SNAP-AIV-HDB output card with SNAP-HD-BF6 cable.

This product is available with 2, 4, 8 and 32 channels.

Software suite

PAC Project

Description :

The PAC Projet software suite is a supervision and automation software package developed by Opto22, in conjunction with its SNAP-PAC line of PLCs. It provides a set of tools for industrial automation, remote monitoring and data acquisition, all in an easy-to-use graphical environment.
Ideally suited to I/O management and industrial control equipment projects, the PAC Project software suite is available in two forms: PAC Project "Basic" and PAC Project "Professional".

Features :

  • Development of control programs for PLCs and man-machine interfaces.
  • OPC communication and database management.
  • Easy communication with commercial databases.
  • Easy to use: graphical interface for development and debugging.
  • Compatible with Opto 22 SNAP PAC controllers.

All these applications run on Windows 7, Vista and XP. Components of the PAC Project software suite are also available individually.

SNAP-PAC-S1

Description :

SoftPac™ is a PC-based software programmable controller. SoftPac runs in a Microsoft. environment. SoftPac can provide significant savings in hardware costs for certain applications. SoftPac is particularly useful for applications requiring large file storage, frequent file access, intensive mathematical processes, or a large number of control algorithms running at the same time.
With SoftPac, you can take advantage of a PC's ability to read and write files quickly, as well as its greater space for data storage. SoftPac handles large amounts of data with ease.
